Full Time Position
G8 is looking for dynamic individual with a passion for the marine industry to join as a key member of our project team. The role will require travels to meet clients and performing checks on preparation on work site and vessels. This is a Full-Time project engineering role reporting direct to G8 Managing Director for marine projects.
Job Requirement:
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Marine Preferable)
- Familiar with AutoCAD or solid works preferable
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- 3-5 years working experience in the Marine or Vessel related Industry
- Knowledge is Marine Construction Vessels and subsea cables preferable
Job scope:
- Project Planning, Plan of Work & Engineering Documentation
- Preparation and Submission of Project’s DPR – Daily Progress Report
- Perform Validation & Checks of G8 Technical solutions, electrical & mechanical systems
- Quality Management, Documentation & Checks on G8 projects
- Coordinate and time/cost management with subcontractors
- Client Management & Project Documentation Submission
- Conduct Weekly Review of Engineering, Documentation & Submission status of projects
- Develop technical and execution plan for G8 Projects
- Develop & Manage internal processes for continuous improvement for G8 projects for engineering & safety improvements. Operation & Maintenance Planning
Job Requirement:

- Project Development or Management Experience a plus point
- Perform Design, and Engineering with SolidWorks/CAD
- Supporting Ops team in Projects
- Project Management and Report generation.
- Infield & Offshore support to G8 projects. Submit DPRs
- Support Business team on technical material generation
- Assist in Sales & Marketing activities (if required)
- Global Travelling (if required)
- LEW Certification is preferred
- Mandarin speaking preferred due to project audience
- Singaporean & Singapore PR may apply
